Our guide will pick you up at the hotel with a private vehicle and take you from Saigon to Cai Be.
The program will start with a quick drive through the Cai Be floating market. Then, you'll visit a local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and other products and enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea. Then, the rowboat will take you deeper into the countryside along smaller canals.
Lunch will be served at a local house or on a boat.
After lunch, you'll travel to Tan Phong island for biking / walking on village paths to observe local daily life: orchards, schools, churches, pagodas, traditional houses and more. On the way there, we'll stop to see how locals make rice nets for spring rolls, sew coconut leaves for house roofs, and especially to see how dried water-hyacinth is weaved into baskets, bags, hats, wallets and shoes.
Finally, you'll stop at a local garden to enjoy a cup of tea and listen to traditional music before returning to the pier where your private car will transfer you back to Saigon.
