Cambodia
This charming yet confounding kingdom seems to cast a spell on visitors. An adventure to Cambodia will inspire travelers to contemplate what happens when ancient and modern worlds collide.
Siem Reap
Siem Reap has reinvented itself as the epicenter of chic Cambodia, with backpacker party pads, hip hotels, world-class dining experiences across a range of cuisines, sumptuous spas, great shopping, local tours to suit both foodies and adventurers and a creative cultural scene that includes Cambodia's leading contemporary circus.
Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh is the vibrant capital of Cambodia. Situated at the confluence of the mighty Mekong, the Bassac and the great Tonle Sap rivers, it was once considered the 'Gem' of Indochina. The capital city still maintains considerable opulence with plenty to see. French colonial mansions and tree-lined boulevards amidst monumental Angkorian architecture conjure a certain provincial charm and tranquility.
Battambang
Battambang, Cambodia's second-largest city and the former capital of Monton Kmer, was founded in the 11th century. Located in northwest Cambodia, the city is situated along the Sangker River, a tranquil, small body of water that winds its way through Battambang Province. As with much of Cambodia, French architecture is an attractive contributor to the city's peaceful vibes.
Sihanoukville
Sihanoukville, a thriving coastal town situated on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Thailand, is considered to be Cambodia's premier beach town. Also known as Kampong Som, Sihanoukville's white sand beaches provide the perfect atmosphere for a great tropical getaway. Travelers can enjoy fresh seafood, go scuba diving or snorkeling, or simply hang out at a wide range of accommodations and enjoy the warm sea breeze and views of the ocean.
