Start things off by exploring the magnificent Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious monument before heading off to Battambang with its crumbling French colonial architecture, fertile soil and rubies. A quick detour will bring you to Phnom Sampeou's natural caves lined with Buddhist shrines and statues before heading off to Phnom Penh to see its regal sites and firsthand examples of the brutality of the Khmer Rouge.
